Nathan's Notes:

"But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart."  Luke 2:19

We live in a world that moves so fast.  Events sweep by and roll across our lives.  Afew years ago, 4G was most likely what someone saaid before someone else said, "You sank my battleship."  As changes roll across our lives and as families grow and change, it is important sometimes to do what Mary, the mother of Jesus did.
She treasured the events around the birth of Christ.  She treasured how God was working and moving in her life.  She treasured a husband who remained faithful to her and treasured some shepherds spreading the word about her son.
Sometimes, I get so busy living life I forget to enjoy it.  I forget to stop and realize how wonderful it is to have a wife like the one I have, children like those I have, and people who I enjoy, appreciate, and love, like those who are reading this.
You have been so good to us and we love you and appreciate you and I want you to know that I treasure you.  I treasure your involvement in this church.  I treasure every time I get to hug one of you.  I treasure what you have meant to me and my family.
Thank you for a good year, for making this a great church.  May God bless you with joy and peace this holiday season.  May God surround you with many things to treasure.

O gracious Lord, help our church be a place where people realize that we have a loving Father.  Help us to walk in that love and to treasure all that you have given us.  Help us to enjoy who you are, what you have done for us, and to treasure Jesus, His birth, His life, His teachings, and His resurrection.  Help us to see you more clearly this season.  Amen.
